The Spartans Lacrosse team took on the Independence Eagles in a rival showdown at home last Friday. This was a close battle all night. The Spartans held a 1 goal lead at half, 4-3. The boys extended their lead to 6-3 before Indy made a run in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 6 a piece. The Spartans had one last moment in regulation but the goal was disallowed as it came just after time expired. The two battled into two overtimes before Summit found the Golden Goal to win, 7-6.
